Prince is pretty uptight about people covering their music. The EELS had a hard time getting one of their covers on a DVD. This probably has nothing to do with the birthday thing.

Prince just says NO!!
by Samuel Thorsen in81 (yes, eighty one) norwegian pop and rock singers/bands want to celebrate the 50 th birthday of their great music idol prince with a cd-box containing one prince cover tune from each one of them.. however prince does not think this is a good idea and he has throu his lawyers stopped the project because it containes "unautorized arrangements"..... you can read it in the norwegian paper here... http://www.dagbladet.no/kultur/2008/04/21/533175.html.

The mic guy who always puts it to close to your mouth (no sexual pun intended)
The sister who is blatantly wearing a thong with the outline on through the dress....(I like it but...come on!!)
All the talk about helping out the elderly and yet old sister so and so has to call in because no one will give her a ride

Criticism worthy of your time
by johnnyc inas i read posts throughout this site, i became amazed at some of the criticism people have actually spent time creating, reading (as i did), and responding to.
dont get me wrong, some of what i read are good issues that seem worthy (to me) of discussion, but to be honest, i find that 90% of the posts are based on ridiculous petty topics that are obviously tied to a sense of deep hatred of the wtbts.
i can appreciate that some of the people who leave such post, and have this hatred, are taking their time to discuss such things as part of a therapeutic process to combat the fact they spent a large portion of their life dedicated to an organization they feel abandoned them at some point.

I find it amazing that because this guy has a differing opinion, there are a good majority who immediately go on the defensive. I don't agree at all about the U.N. thing he said, but he articulated well why it doesn't bother him. He didn't attack anyone on the board about it either. Again if he was some abused person who hadn't gotten screwed by the WTS and hated them the majority of people on here would be "love bombing" and leaping praise upon the individual. All I can do is shake my head.

Johnny you will find the same kool-aid the Watchtower wants you to drink is the same this board does (the same Kool-Aid your job does), it's just a different flavor. I agree with him, a lot of the people on this board bring up some pretty petty crap that happens in life, and then tries to make it some unique thing with the Watchtower. I mean hey I dislike the org as much as the next person, but we do get pretty ridiculous on here, especially if someone makes a critique of the board.
As proof half of you guys attacked this man for no reason what so ever. His posts seemed intelligent and sincere. Had he immediately had some juicy story about how he was raped by the WTS you guys would have been suckling at his tit (I admit I am just as guilty). Jesus Christ give the guy a freaking break.

Why was the "Manking Search For God" publication never a study book?
by truthseeker inany takers?.
i'm guessing it's because people might get too curious when covering the material and wonder about different religions..

I remember when it came out I thought it had some really cool pictures. It definitely was not like the other books which meant it was somewhat interesting. I think they emphasized that it should be studied...a bit more then normal releases...I know my family had a weekly family study out of it shortly. Unfortunately it gave normal dubs a over inflated sense of knowledge about others beliefs, I am sure some dubs got trashed when actually confronted with people from these beliefs.

The hall I grew up in in NC was really lax along with a couple of the other halls. Of course I think here on JWD the horror stories make headlines so it's easy too look at and go, "wow I had it easy". I've also heard Florida halls especially in Miami have almost no rules.

Shropshire Star news editor examines issues behind death of JW Emma Gough
by AndersonsInfo inshropshire starapril 9, 2008. why would loving faith allow death?.
features news editor neil thomas examines the issues behind the tragic death of new mum emma gough.. words written by heaven knows who and attributed to moses have brought about the apparently needless death of a young shropshire mother, and blighted many other lives, more than 3,000 years later.. far-fetched, possibly.
yet, how else are we to interpret the death of emma gough?.

Wow flipper could you Appeal to Consequences anymore? Firstly to say she will die alone if she chooses a BT is absurd. Did it cross your mind her husband might perhaps stand behind her? Let alone her two children? As has been discussed in other threads she could tell her doctor to administer the BT and then not reveal it to the family. There are ways around it, this is the old Patty Hearst defense, which is plausible but at least Patty Hearst claimed she was kidnapped, most JW's go on their own accord.
Lets check out situation 2. which is what she did and was her right. She could have easily explored what was really going on. Even do this in secret, then make an Adult decision to bunker down and leave. She didn't and only she can be blamed for allowing this. My job can threating to fire unless I perform a certain task, yet if I do the task I can't then claim my work forced me to do it. I could have walked away from the job. Same with the WTS, only difference is you can't sue a religion for unsafe conditions. In the end it is still their adult choice
Wow I guess in my 25 years I haven't learned that life is so black and white as you claim it to be. Sorry. There so much fallacy in your argument I am not sure why I am even replying.
